Booking and appointments

Call reception on (08) 6147 6547 between 8:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Tell us what the appointment is for and roughly how long you think you need, and we will match you to the right doctor and book enough time rather than rushing you through.
Find us and our hoursYes. We open on 10 August 2026 and we are taking new patients from day one. Ring (08) 6147 6547 to register. Because the practice is new, the book is not yet full, so you will generally be seen sooner than at an established clinic.
Information for new patientsYes, and you should. Continuity is most of the value of general practice: a doctor who has seen you three times notices what a stranger cannot. Ask for them by name when you book. Nobody will ask you why, and you may wait slightly longer for their next opening.
Meet the teamRing (08) 6147 6547 as early as you can. A cancelled appointment given back with notice goes to somebody else who needs it, usually the same day — which is the whole reason we ask. If you are simply running late, call and we will tell you whether the slot still works.
Find us and our hoursNo. Nobody needs a referral to see a general practitioner in Australia — ring reception and book directly. Referrals work the other way around: your GP writes one when you need to see a specialist.
Information for new patientsYes. Walk-ins are welcome from 10 August 2026. Booking ahead still gets you a specific doctor at a specific time, but if you are unwell today and the phone line is busy, come in — while the practice is new the book is not yet full, so the wait is usually short.
Information for new patientsYes to both. There is free on-site parking with one accessible bay, and free street parking as well. Entry is step-free with wheelchair access throughout and an accessible toilet. There are also showers and bike storage if you ride or run in.

Yes. Dr Ranjitha Ananda Kumar is a female general practitioner here, with a particular interest in women's health, contraception and family planning, pregnancy and menopause care. Ask for her by name when you book and reception will find you a time with her.
About Dr Ananda KumarYes, at every age — newborn and development checks, childhood immunisations, the usual coughs, ears and rashes, and adolescent health. Book the child in their own name so the appointment and the record belong to them, and bring their immunisation history if you have it.
Children's healthAllied health is the qualified non-medical care around your GP: exercise physiology, physiotherapy, psychology and the like. We have an accredited exercise physiologist on site from day one. Other rooms are built and waiting on practitioners, and we will name them when they are confirmed.
See what we offerThat is the intention, and it is worth protecting. Ask for your doctor by name whenever you book. If they are away or fully booked and you need to be seen, another of our GPs can see you and will be reading the same record, so nothing has to be explained twice.

Ask your doctor at the appointment how your results will come back and whether you need to book a review — it differs by test, and some are only worth discussing face to face. If you have not heard and you are worried about it, ring us rather than waiting.
Find us and our hoursYes, for a specialist you do, and Medicare will not rebate the visit without one. Your GP writes it, which is why the referral appointment matters: a good referral carries your history and the specific question, and shapes what the specialist can do in one visit.
General practice at the clinicRing reception and ask — it depends on the medicine, how long you have been on it and when you were last reviewed. Some repeats are straightforward. Others exist precisely so that a conversation happens before the next script, which is the point of the review rather than an obstacle.
Find us and our hoursYes. It is your record, and you are entitled to a copy or to have it sent to another practice. Ask reception for the request form. There is a consent step because a medical record should never move on a verbal request alone, including one that sounds like yours.

We are a general practice, not an emergency or after-hours service. Knowing where to go before you need to is worth more than any other answer on this page.
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday, and closed public holidays. The last appointments of the day go early, so if you need to be seen today it is worth ringing (08) 6147 6547 in the morning rather than the afternoon.

Go straight to an emergency department for chest pain, difficulty breathing, serious bleeding or a suspected stroke.
