Thorpe Street Health. Integrated health. Rooted in you.

About us

About Our Rockingham Family Practice

Thorpe Street Health is a new general practice on 57 Thorpe Street, built so that your GP and the rest of your care sit in the same building and work from the same plan.

Our story

Why Thorpe Street Health

When your care is split across four practices, you are the one carrying it between them.

That is the problem this building was designed around. Your GP and your exercise physiologist are down the hall from each other, working from the same notes, so you tell your story once rather than at every door.

  • Independent and locally owned

An independent, locally owned practice, not part of a corporate healthcare network. Who we hire, and how long an appointment runs, are decided here rather than somewhere else.

  • One building, one plan

General practice and allied health share the same building and the same notes, with rooms already built for the services listed below. A care plan written in a consulting room becomes something you start, not a referral you are left to chase.

  • We ask about more than symptoms

Most of what shapes your health happens outside the consulting room: work, sleep, what you can afford, what you can get to. Treating only the thing you came in with misses most of it.

Thorpe Street Health is accredited by AGPAL, the Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited

Accredited by AGPAL against the RACGP Standards for general practices. AGPAL is the Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited.

Integrated health. Rooted in you. The first half is how the building works. The second half is the part you should hold us to.

Our approach

How the Practice Works

Integrated health means your care is not split across four buildings and four records. Your GP, your exercise physiologist and everyone who joins them work from one plan, in one place, with one history in front of them.

The difference is not convenience. It is that a care plan written in a consulting room becomes a programme you actually start, rather than a referral you are left to chase, book and explain from the beginning.

We are set up for patients who stay: same GP where you want one, longer appointments when you need them, and a record that follows you rather than restarting.

In practice that means one team across everyday general practice, women’s health, men’s health and children’s health, with immunisations and health and skin checks run by the same people who know your history.

Services Coming Later

The building was fitted out for more than opens with us. Rooms for psychology and for other allied health are finished and waiting on the right practitioners, and an optometry room is built for later.

We would rather tell you that plainly than list services you cannot book. Nothing goes on this website as available until someone is in the room to provide it.

Our community

Where We Are and Who We Look After

We are on 57 Thorpe Street, a few minutes from the foreshore and the city centre, close enough to walk to from a good part of town, and an easy drive from the rest of it.

Patients come to us from these suburbs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to the practical details patients need before booking or visiting the practice.

It means your GP and the other practitioners you see work from one plan and one record, in one building. A care plan written in a consulting room becomes something you start down the corridor, rather than a referral you are left to chase and coordinate on your own.
